Chris was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. Youngest of three children, Chris grew up in a Christian family and was (quite literally) dragged to church every single Sunday. In 2006 he graduated from the University of Washington with his bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering, then proceeded to work in a number of random jobs while he tried to figure out what to do with his life. After much soul searching he felt called to attend seminary at Regent College in Vancouver, BC. This year Chris just got married on Nov.
In His letter to the Pergamum church, Jesus Christ praised them for persisting in faith when facing pressures from outside of the church. However, they fell into the temptation from inside the church. The Pergamum church represents some of the Christians and churches today. We are still experiencing the challenges they faced. What can we learn from the words that Christ spoke to them? Those are also the words for us.
